Frequently Asked Questions at Odyssey Dance Lab
What types of dance will ODL include?
Dancers can expect training in classical ballet, contemporary, Choreography, Improvisation, and Somatics. Yannis and Katerina are uniquely skilled to guide dancers through Greece all while guiding them through an exhilarating journey of self-expression and artistic growth. Dancers will be working with Katerina Kopsidas Rodgaard for Ballet, Yannis Adoniou for Choreography and Improvisation, Tatiana Loverdou for Somatics, and other guest artists from Greece.
How will dancers get to and from their destinations?
Odyssey Dance Lab will provide bus transportation for the dancers to get to and from all of the destinations.
How much will the Odyssey cost?
The program will cost $2,500. Earlybird pricing is available at $2,200 if paid by February 1. The price does not include air travel to and from Greece. It includes hotels, transportation to and from the destinations, sightseeing tours, workshops, master classes, performances, and performance spaces.
Do I need a passport?
Yes! For entry into Greece, your passport should have at least six months of remaining validity. While Greek law requires three months of passport validity beyond the intended date of your departure, if you are transiting a country that requires six months of validity, you may not be permitted to continue your trip. Passports can take a few months to get. We recommend applying for one as soon as you can.
Can Parents come too?
We have had a lot of interest from parents and families who would also like to go to Greece. And we say that parents and families are welcome! However, the Odyssey is for dancers. For an added fee, we can assist parents in booking their own hotel rooms in the same hotel or a hotel close by. Parents and family members would also be welcome to see all performances and go on all sightseeing and culinary adventures. It is not guaranteed that we will be able to accommodate transportation for additional family members but that is TBD.
